Anchorage and Fairbanks have this long, long rivalry... all stemming from the fact Anchorage is cool and Fairbanks just plain sucks. Okay, mild bias there. Fairbanks, long ago, was the big city in Alaska, but that title has long since been passed to Anchorage. We have the port and the biggest airport. I guess I've just never heard anyone give a rousing amount of support for Fairbanks. Winter in Fairbanks it gets -60 degrees (fahrenheit), without windchill, and nothing will start. Anchorage can get -20 degrees, without windchill, but the car will still start. In conclusion... I don't think I really had a point.
Oooooh, and a discussion over at gravi_muse_meet just relieved a bunch of stress I was having over the timeline of a Gravi fic I want to write. *throws confetti*
Question, for anyone that would like to put in their two or three sense. We were discussing genre in my class today, specifically biography/autobiography and memoir. What would you consider the difference between the two to be?
I should start working on my Beowulf paper...
